What constitutes a childhood well lived? Most important is a solid family with warm, trusting relationships that finds time for meaningful connection on a regular basis. And a solid family is made up of thriving individuals. How do we help our kids thrive? By teaching them the habits and skills to be successful in school, with family, and friends. A really fun way to do this is through outdoor adventure, enjoyed as a family, in a community of like-minded families.
Join an Odyssey Outdoors outdoor adventure group and enjoy family time, friendship, outdoor skill-building and character development together. Groups consist of 4 to 6 families in your local area who get together each month to enjoy outdoor adventures together. Each family takes turns organizing a monthly event and shares their skills, leadership and generosity with the group. Families can start at any age. We currently have folks ages 3 to 55 participating!
Your group gets to plan its own calendar of outdoor activities, such as camping, hiking, biking, rock climbing and snow sports. Odyssey Outdoors provides group structure and experience, ideas for activities, how to’s and coming soon, a character development curriculum.

I love that every month we have something to do that gets us outside. Even if we were thinking there’s too much to do, Odyssey gets us focused on the things that we value most. It’s life, it’s being outdoors, it’s being with a community, it’s being with friends, and it’s just enjoying and being present in nature, and also challenging ourselves a little more. Odyssey is legitimate outdoor activities but also without neglecting the family. Quality family time and sharing with the kids. There’s a lot of really cool outdoor stuff I could go do, but it’s almost more fun to do something where everybody’s there, even if it involves a nap with my 3 year old. -BD, dad of two boys, ages 7 and 3
I like Odyssey because of all the amazing adventures that we all get to take together, all the things the kids learn, and all the things the adults learn that they didn’t know that they didn’t know.
